Phenomenally successful Bulawayo arts show, the Intwasa Arts Festival is set to be held from September 26 to October the 1st in five different venues which is aimed at bringing artists from the region to participate.
The 12th edition which will be run under the theme ‘Expressions’ is offering new grounds and opportunities for fresh, vibrant works that have never been displayed before.
Organizers of the event said they are far ahead of their preparations and are grateful for the support that is being given by both artists and shareholders in organizing the show.
“There has been a tremendous response from artists and we are overwhelmed by the support that is being poured in this initiative by artist and we are going to work hard in order to make them satisfied,” said an insider.
They said they are still to release information on venues and artists who are going to perform once they are done with all the necessary documentation and paperwork with local authorities and artists’ management bodies.
The six day festival will see culturally rich artists from Bulawayo, in the fields of music, spoken word, comedy, theater, dance, literary arts, visual arts, fashion and film perform to the enthusiasm of art and culture lovers.
The organizers are also hosting the Women, Wine and Words event to be held on September 27 which is platform that seeks to amplify women voices through music and poetry
