Zimbabwean fashion designers in the United Kingdom are set to participate in the second edition of the Zimbabwe Fashion Showcase (ZFS) that will be held in Birmingham starting tomorrow 28 July to the 30th.
Founder of the show, Chiedza Dawn Ziyambe said the fashion show will bring business to African designers especially those of the Zimbabwean heritage for they are the rightful candidates eligible to participate in this initiative.
“We are going to feature amazing designers from Zimbabwe, they are already here and their staff is now in order what is left is for us to start,” she said.
Ziyambe has promised a much hyped show which will be different from the inaugural one citing that they have corrected previous mistakes and each year to them will be a bigger step to the brighter future of Zimbabwean fashion industry.
The show returns with a packed schedule of fashion shows by designers and those in fashion business with workshops competitions and shopping.
“We have bigger names on our designers list. However, wev are focused o shinning the spotlight on emerging designers,” said Ziyambe.
Ziyambe said she is working hard to create a fashion showcase that is accessible to everyday woman irregardless of their location.
As a lingerie designer she, her personal struggles motivated her to come up with ZFS where she was to have a platform to showcase her talent and dream.
