Mupats’s ‘Gold Digger’ got nominated in the SA Hall of Fame Awards

South Africa based Zimbabwean rapper, Ray Mupats has been nominated in the fifth edition of the Hall of Fame Awards (HOFA) to be held at Silverton Recreational Hall in Pretoria on August 27.

Mupats whose video for the song Gold Digger got nominated in the Video of the year category said he is so overwhelmed and looks forward to get the award for his fans.

“The journey is a struggle for both my fans and I, there would not be a video if its not for them and being nominated means they have made me work hard to produce the best they deserve,” said Ray Mupats.

The video which was released late last year is one of the most exquisite and high quality videos Zimbabweans in the diaspora have ever produced.

The Hall of Fame Awards started in 2011 with Ray Mupats being the first Zimbabwean to walk the road of South African Musicians with this nomination.

“It is such an honor, being the first one to be selected is such a great experience and I can not express ho I am feeling right now. Maybe that is one of the many reasons why I deserve to win and to do that I continue to urge my fans to keep on supporting me,” he said.
