Phenomenally successful musician, Oliver Mtukudzi is being pulled into another ‘secret child’ storm following a sensational revelation that has gone viral on social media by a woman identified as Memory Mtukudzi who is
claiming to be the singer’s daughter.
Memory (23) claims to be suffering and tormented by her father’s neglect in which the reason for her surfacing is to give him her lobola money such that he will bless her and her marriage.
“No one deserves to be called Tuku’s daughter and suffer the way I am, I’m not after his fame or wealth, I just feel miserable thinking of his absence in my life.” she said.
Her problems seems to have arisen when she was getting married, after her uncles took their share for bringing her up, the lion’s share which was supposed to be given to the father falls in no ones hands as she sadly had no contact with him.
“My mother (Barbra Siziba) had died when I was only eight and I tried without luck to reach my father, I visited his home in Norton and they wouldn’t let me in, I was just mistreated and was chased away.”
Mtukudzi’s manager Sam Mataure said the case has to be looked into before they comment on it for the details of Memory being the singer’s daughter are not clear.
“Before any comment can be issued, I think it’s better to get a chance to get in touch with Memory so that I can put her in touch with someone from the family who can assist with her case.” he said.
