Self proclaimed underrated Zim hip hop artiste Shingirayi Maunganidze, popularly known by his huge fans as Schingy, has again made a statement addressing the ‘Godo’ hit maker as a” punk”.
Speaking to celebrity check magazine, the ‘Hamuko’ hit maker emphasized that there is no beef between him and Stunner thereby dismissing the rumors that he is using the Stunner disses as his marketing strategy to get attention.
“I gat enough fans at the moment than him so wont need no marketing in addressing a punk whose been dissing us lately”, said Schingy.
The talented rapper who feels underrated, has rode on controversy for the past years. However, recently he made an attack on Stunner who is currently on tour in the United States of America after posting a controversial post on his Facebook account attacking Stunner as well as other artists.
He wrote: I can drop joints the same day with these so called big guys not for disrespect but i feel like i gat it better
than these suckers. vamwe ndovanoimba #ndombolo no difference ya Madiz, Koffie na Pk if we to categorize them…lol guys like Stunner tsvagai mabasa ku Tel1 amana mukuzvifonera…anwaez…New Music coming with the dopest visuals ever !
This is not the first time that the talented rapper has rode on controversy , last year at the Zimhiphop Awards he made headlines after he brought a coffin to the stage getting resulting in a number of fans as labeling his performance as an act of satanism.
Schingy however defended the act saying that, it was only out of creativity and there was no form of symbolism that was portrayed by the act.
” That peoples opinions .but this is art most Zimbos acknowledge things when its a foreigner doing it . when its us they say a lot of negative stuff. I remember Tyga copied the same stunt earlier this year & had lot praising him forgetting we did it before him. No satanism its art, ” he said
He also took to attack the awards organizers in Zimbabwe citing that corruption has led the organization to award those who do not deserve awards.
“These awards organizers some are very bogus, the events are never held on a transparent manner.those who win either are friends or will had paid for the award” the rapper said.
Schingy who draws his inspiration from Whiz khalifa also highlighted that the Zim HIP HOP industry has a future that is if only there are serious players in the game.
” The industry is in its expansion era all we just need are serious players in the industry not producers who open studios so as to make a place to hit on chicks sevamwe so lol. if we all put positive energy its going places this year.,” Schingy said.
Currently, Schingy is working on the Team Bhoo ep which is going to be dropped next year and also some visuals to some unreleased projects.
