ZFIDP calls for content

The Zimbabwe Film Industry Development Plan, (ZFIDP) is calling for compelling content that will be distributed by a content broker who is seeking Zimbabwe’s content to sell to television channels.

The projects cordinators of the company have said they are opening an opportunity for Zimbabwe film makers which would enhance and promote local industry at any level.

“This is such a great opportunity for film makers in Zimbabwe and we are encouraging them to bring in any content that they might need to be distributed,” said ZFIDP projects management.

They said interested people should send in their trailers to the company together with a release form and when their trailer qualifies for the distribution they are to be notified.

They are urging those with new projects, who have never been given an opportunity to showcase their projects to come forward for this is not limited to those who have already been exposed and it is being open to anyone in any place.

“Everyone is free to take up this opportunity, there are a lot of film makers in the country with some of them having never been exposed so this is a chance open for everyone in Zimbabwe,” they said.

ZFDIP said they would not want anyone in the industry to be left out of projects such as this one citing that it’s only those who are in the industry who would understand and make it better and if they come up together they would make better strategies of enhancing it.

They said this opportunity will be open until October 15 with this not being the only project but a number of them to follow.

The Zimbabwe Film Industry Development Platform (ZFIDP) was founded in July 2014 to promote the development and sustainability of Zimbabwe’s film industry, a key factor that has seen its growth through the years.
